1. Introduction

At Ovantra Health, owned and operated by OVANTRA SDN. BHD. ("we", "us", "our"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our healthcare coordination services and website, in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Identity Data: Name, passport details, date of birth, gender.
  • Contact Data: Email address, phone number, physical address.
  • Health Data: Medical history, diagnosis, medical reports, imaging (CT/MRI/PET scans), and treatment records necessary for hospital consultations.
  • Logistical Data: Administrative requirements for hospital admission and emergency contact information.

3. Explicit Consent for Health Data

Health Data is considered "sensitive personal data" under the PDPA. By voluntarily submitting your medical records, scans, or health history to Ovantra Health, you explicitly consent to our collection, storage, and transfer of this sensitive personal data strictly for the purposes outlined in this notice.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal and health data strictly to provide our healthcare coordination services, including:

  • Transmitting your medical records to specialist hospitals in China for second opinions and treatment eligibility assessments.
  • Facilitating tele-consultations between you and medical professionals.
  • Providing general guidance on hospital admission and medical visa applications.
  • Communicating with you regarding service updates, appointments, and inquiries.

5. Sharing Your Information

Due to the nature of our service, it is necessary to share your data with carefully selected third parties:

  • Healthcare Providers: Authorized hospitals, doctors, and specialists in China evaluating or treating your case.
  • Logistics Partners: Administrative partners (only non-medical data).
  • Translators: Bound by strict confidentiality agreements, acting on our behalf to translate your medical records.

We will never sell or rent your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

6. International Data Transfers

Because the hospitals are located in China, your personal and medical data will be transferred outside of Malaysia. By utilizing our services, you explicitly consent to this cross-border transfer. We ensure that such transfers are conducted securely and only to facilities that maintain high standards of patient confidentiality.

7. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. We use secure channels for transmitting medical records.

8. Use of Third-Party Platforms and AI Processing

You acknowledge and consent that Ovantra Health may process, store, and transmit personal and medical information through third-party digital platforms (such as WhatsApp, WeChat, or similar tools) and cloud storage services. Communications transmitted through these platforms may not be fully secure or encrypted at all times.

Furthermore, we may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based tools for administrative purposes, including translation and summarisation. AI-generated outputs are strictly administrative aids, may contain inaccuracies, and do not constitute medical advice.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by us. You may also withdraw your consent for us to process your data at any time, acknowledging that this may prevent us from providing further healthcare coordination services.

If you have any questions or wish to exercise your rights regarding your personal data, please contact our Data Privacy Officer at ovantrahealth@gmail.com.
